The Phoenix Mills Limited is a renowned name in the booming Indian real estate sector. Responsible for such lavish properties like Market City (Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai) and High Street Phoenix (Mumbai), it has today become the model for development of shopping and entertainment hubs across the country.

Next stop for The Phoenix Group was the commercial city of Bareilly. iStrat was given the mandate of shooting out a series of mailers, both to bring in the big brands to Phoenix United as well as raising the enthusiasm of the consumers.

High impact content was written, exquisite creatives were designed and the five mailers were shot in quick succession for maximum effect!

The mailers ranged from announcing the mall, brand teasers, launch invites and partnership opportunities. 3 lakh sq ft of retail space was given the positive buzz it deserved!

Phoenix United was launched amidst great fanfare, the event was attended by over 10000 people and the mailers helped bring some of the biggest brands to Bareilly.

Direct Hair Implantation is a cutting edge, patented technology with global medical centres. Having successfully treated over 100,000 clients, the DHI Medical Group was ready for some aggressive marketing in the Indian shores.

After researching the procedure and their clients, iStrat proposed a targeted and phased approach instead of mass marketing. Carefully strategised banner ads were placed in high impact locations. For instance, we devised a 10-day, mostly male targeted ad campaign on Yahoo inboxes. With our age demographic set, the ads were rolled out and tracking techniques were put in place.

The USP of DHI is their promise – No Scalpel, No Pain and No Scars. We made sure to leverage this revolutionary proposition on all our ads.

With our core TG in mind and armed with simple, yet effectively designed ads, we went where our TG went.

At the end of ten days, we’re pleased to conclude a successful ad campaign for one of the biggest hair implantation technologies.

We have had the privilege of being associated with CII for the past 18 years and each year has been more exciting than the year before! iStrat has provided CII with a gamut of services including Web Services, Web Applications, Films, Event Based IT solutions, Touch Screen Kiosks and more.

This year, iStrat was again picked by CII to do a film for the CII AGM, some short films for the Woman Exemplary Awards 2012 and a comprehensive web based Annual Report.

The theme for the AGM film was Business for Livelihood. And true to its theme, we created a film that swept across the canvas of economic activity, showcasing CII and its initiatives to enhance the progress, productivity and prosperity of the Indian industries.

Amidst global turmoil and domestic flux, CII set an ambitious agenda by promising to meet the contemporary challenges of human capital, health, inclusive development, and sustainability.

The Woman Exemplary Awards attempt to recognize extraordinary rural women who have made a mark in one of the three sectors of education, health and micro enterprise.  The films went on to chronicle the struggles and successes of these 3 special women.

When VE Commercial Vehicles – a JV between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, contacted iStrat, they had a simple objective, “we want to speak to each one of our 1500 employees in one voice and we want to hear back from them”. Armed with this information, we at iStrat started work on a strategy that will help Eicher contact each one of their employees, across departments and get feedback from them too. We proposed a ‘Communication Audit’, a simple yet effective way of communicating with a large team that exists across the country.

This Audit was then developed as a form of internal communication that has not been done in this company before. An interactive questionnaire was developed on SurveyMonkey, with 35 imperative questions addressing the company, its units and the management. The link was then shared with thousands of employees via e-mail. The audit was kept confidential to encourage employees to be honest and be clear. In order to encourage participation and promote the audit, the team was sent a slew of e-mailers that addressed all strata of the organization.

The total number of participants was 1541. Some business units had whopping response rates of over 60%, making this audit highly productive and effective. It is clear that employees want to be heard and don’t always have a clear and open channel to do so. It is this obstacle that iStrat will attempt to dispel in the months to come.

iStrat has undertaken the responsibility of developing additional channels of communication for VECV. Our immediate goal is to establish an interactive social platform that serves as a way of avoiding corporate channels, a platform that is used as a company repository as well as an interface for employee interaction.

By including features like regular video uploads, message from leaders, chat with CEO, images, and fun contests, VECV will be listening and addressing the issues made apparent in the communication audit.

New Delhi, undoubtedly, has one of the best airports in the world. The luxurious, state of the art T3 is representative of India’s position in global tourism and commerce.

So, when TIMDAA came to us with a proposition to build a website for the advertising opportunities at the airport, we pulled out all the stops!

TIM Delhi Airport Advertising Private Ltd (TIMDAA) is a JV company incorporate by Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL) and Times Innovative Media Ltd.

iStrat was given the responsibility of developing a website that complemented TIMDAA and their efforts to explore the advertising potential at Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport. A quick visit to the airport with a fresh perspective drove home the sheer magnitude of advertising opportunities! With over 20 Million annual passengers, sky is the limit!

Given the magnificence of the airport and the visual nature of the advertising business, it was clear to us from the start that it had to be a flash website. We built in a 3D view to accurately project the advertising possibilities along with details of the location, traffic flow, retail outlets, F&B and facilities. We shot images of the property and have used them abundantly in the site to assist media planners in their strategy.

What we’ve achieved is a dynamic and interactive website for brands deserving premium visibility, within a highly desirable demographic.

TERI (The Energy & Resource Institute) with its vision to work towards global sustainable development has undertaken the phenomenal initiative of 'Lighting a Billion Lives' (LaBL) through the use of solar lighting devices.

At iStrat, we understand the importance as well as the challenge of creating alternate sources of energy using innovative solutions. So, when TERI approached us to assist them in planning a fund raising activity, we had to meet that sense of innovation and creativity.

We started off by developing software for ‘The Commitment Gate’ - a touch screen kiosk which allowed visitors to contribute in support of the initiative. The visitors had the option of donating money, sponsoring a family or even sponsoring an entire village. The software was built to accept payments on the spot and process them using TERI’s payment gateway.

When not in use, the screen would launch into an ‘attract loop’ – A visually appealing series of images, supers and music to prompt and attract visitors.

As we expected to raise a considerable amount of funds, we wanted to keep the visitors informed of the progress we were making. To do this, iStrat created ‘The Carbon Clock’. The clock was developed as a real time representation of the total funds required vs. the total funds received.

The objective of our strategy was to convey that each donation matters and that each contribution is getting TERI that much closer to creating a better tomorrow for a billion lives!

iStrat deployed one more kiosk at Kingdom of Dreams to attract additional donations for TERI.

Having had roaring success with their high fashion products, Redtape was all set to reinforce their position in the online space.

It was imperative for Redtape to launch an ecommerce site for all their young fashionistas across the country and successfully include online sales to their annual turnover. That’s where we came in!

We built an incredible shopping website for Redtape that allows users to not only buy products, but do everything that goes along with creating that perfect look! Features like Fashion Guide and Shop My Look have been incorporated to make Redtape an all inclusive fashion website.

A handy order tracking mechanism has been built into the website to help keep track of the high order volume. The tracker offers real time updates on order placement, payment clearance, inventory management, product dispatch and product delivery.

The website was launched in Jan 2012 and has been steadily growing in popularity ever since!

Lacoste, the high end French apparel company was looking for ways to promote their annual season end sale in India.

iStrat stepped in and created a media strategy that was tailor made for Lacoste. Using E4M, AFAQS and Stylekandy, we pushed out mailers to a database of 2,55,000 across Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Jalandhar.

The design shared by Lacoste was minimalistic, and the mailer open rates for E4M was phenomenal!

5 Things to get you started on Twitter

Twitter Handle: This one is a no brainer. Decide on something that is consistent with your brand. If befitting, brands can benefit from working in a person’s name into the handle; @Varunatcompany. Check out how @Kohler displays their company tweeters.

Promote your brand on Twitter

Bio:  Twitter allows you 20 extra characters for your bio and we suggest you really use them. Keep it relevant to your brand and what it does. Over 1.6 billion searches are made on twitter every day, establish what it is that your customers are looking for and use those keywords in your bio.

Profile Pic: It is important for your profile pic to reflect your brand. If you’ve used your own name for the handle, go ahead and put up a warm, smiling picture of yourself. Company logo is also commonly used; make sure to reduce it down to a smaller size allowing a nice bigger picture to pop up should someone click on it.

Profile Skin: Twitter skin is a great branding tool for businesses and the opportunities are limitless! Your background is the first thing that pops out when someone visits your profile, be creative, be memorable and use this opportunity to reposition your brand in the online space.

Tracking Tools : Establish clear metrics to measure your engagement on Twitter. There are a variety of superior tools available; Topsy, Tweet Analyzer and Klout are some that are reigning supreme in the twit sphere. Twitter’s own search tool is pretty darn good too.

All the above tips follow one common purpose; Branding. Brand your twitter page, be memorable, and position yourself as an interesting, social brand.

Family Nestle is a flagship project for iStrat. The responsibility of carrying the digital voice of an entity like Nestle is tremendous; it is both enjoyable and challenging. The joy comes from bringing together tens of thousands of consumers who believe in Nestle the way we do and the challenge comes with building one effective digital marketing strategy to keep these scores of people engaged and entertained.

We launched the Facebook page for Family Nestle back in August 2010 with a simple objective, to impart the nutrition, health and wellness knowledge of Nestle to all their consumers. The idea behind a social presence was to create a space where like minded food lovers can converge and talk food, fun and family. Today the community stands at 1,00,000 plus and is burgeoning by the day. This practically organic growth is the cumulative result of Nestle’s unique approach towards consumers, the love consumers have for Nestle products and the conversations that iStrat builds between the brand and the buyer!
